Buying a Property – Making an Offer

May 7, 2014   //   by mecadmin   //   blog  //  No Comments

You’ve found your dream property have viewed and inspected it and now you are ready to make an offer.  With the market in a slow pace today, you can actually ask for a much lower offer but keep in mind that the price you are asking for is reasonable or you might lose the chance to buy the property you have dreamed of.

Be prepared. This is where having the right information can help in asking for a lower price.  It is essential to do a research about the property, the owner and the circumstances of the owner.  Is the owner of the property in a rush to sell? Is the property on the market for long? Are you able to afford the property? Does the property for sale have any issues? These are just some questions you can ponder about.

When you make an offer using the same price as the asking price, make sure that the property you are asking for is taken off the market immediately and settle on a set time to conclude the purchase. If you are offering on a lower price than that of the actual asking price, make sure you are prepared to justify the reasons you are lowering the price.  You can either make an offer directly on the estate agents office or via phone
